If you are interested in getting some volunteer experience working with youth, check out this opportunity!  Promontory Heights Community School requires volunteer Leaders, to help coordinate and run Friday Night activities for youth in grades 6 - 8.  You will be responsible for gym activities, theme nights, computer lab activities, and the concession.  Gain practical employability skills, such as responsibility, time management, organization, and leadership!  Contact the Work Experience Dept. today to get involved with this FUN Work Experience placement! What a great way to earn your 30 hours!!!

The annual Rotary Book Sale is a great opportunity to earn your Work Experience hours, and to give back to your community!  Assist with setting up the sale and working with the Rotarians to serve the public.  Our local Rotary clubs donate thousands of dollars each year for scholarships and bursaries!  Many student volunteers are needed from Oct. 16 - 22.  Contact the Work Experience Dept. for details and to sign up! 

UFV Elder College is seeking students to assist with teaching seniors about basic computer skills and knowledge.  Students commit to 2-hour sessions and are awarded Work Experience hours.  Session dates are:

Oct.17 - Nov. 21 (Mondays)   10am - 12noon   (Computers Level 1)

Oct.17 - Nov. 21 (Mondays)   12:15 - 2:15pm   (Computers Level 2)

Oct. 15, 22 (Saturdays)   10am - 12noon   (Cell Phone Tutorial)

Oc. 29 - Nov. 19 (Saturdays)   10am - 12noon   (Laptops w/Windows 7)
